It’s back to school again. Vogue style. As I mentioned in the previous post, I have been trying to find a balance between life, motherhood, and blogging (amongst other things), especially now that I am doing it from a totally new line of latitude 😉 But hey, I am finding my groove and will soon be churning blog posts out like a ninja! Lol, I wish! Anyway, that’s the dream. This one is from the archives, featuring a dress I bought particularly for my pregnancy. The thing with houndstooth is… it is timeless, and so is the shape of this dress. It’s comfortable and versatile enough to be worn over a pair of pants too, plus it has pockets (insert grin). Lol, am I the only one who gets excited by pockets?? Okay, back to the point. This time I teamed this little dress up with a simple blouse, and a ribbon tie. As for the matching furniture, well… that was a much welcome coincidence. Yes, I am that one girl who will turn up at a wedding, matching the decorations, (without planning to of course). If it wasn’t for this big beast called my awesome hair, I’d totally be camouflaged all the time! I mean look at that; the lips and the vogue book. Totally unplanned but playing off each other like….
Anywhoo, when it comes to red, well… let’s just say I don’t wear much of it. Apparently it’s more of a personality thing. But red lipstick, now that’s a bare necessity of life – provided you find the right shade for your skin tone first (I will do a post on that soon). On the real though, how fun are these retro, flip out glasses! They made me feel like an old school aviator taking to the skies. Yes, with golden heels. That being said, there’s something about putting black, white and red together that just gives a crisp, modern yet timeless feel. Can I get an AMEN?!
