A wise, good-looking king once said, “There is a time for everything – and a season for every activity under the heavens; a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to tear down and a time to build…” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. True dat, but one thing I have realised is that the planting season is not always fun, especially as it is usually preceded by a season when God uproots us from everything we know and puts us in a whole new barren field. Okay, real talk: As human beings, this is usually the season to be stressed, when all anxieties and feelings of uncertainty attack from all angles because one doesn’t even know where, when and how to even start…
In the midst of all that, I’d like to say HALT! If you listen closely, you will often hear that quiet still voice saying “Trust The Process”. Well, at least that is what it says to me! Instead of being hard headed and saying what process, I’ve come to learn and accept that the one who places all of us where we are at this very moment has all the answers. I may not see them yet, but I know for sure He always has my best interests at heart and He did make this promise to me and you – “I know the plans I have for you; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 That’s the process right there. It doesn’t get any better than that.
That being said, there is nothing like that feeling of unloading all our worries and anxieties unto God. It is called real peace…and guess what? It is usually a conscious choice we have to make, i.e decide whether we are going to accept the costly stress or the free abundant peace God offers us.
Therefore, just as I have learnt to trust His processes and His plans (P.S He’s never failed me before), I urge you too, to stop battling but surrender and watch Him do His thing. Just take it one day at a time, take Him at His word and before you know it, you’ll bloom where He is currently and strategically (He doesn’t do haphazard either) planting you…
Have a great week, and remember you don’t have to have all the answers. God is enough.
Love M, xx
