Nothing like a little ailment to remind one of the value of time. The past few days I have been down with the cold and I am still in the final stages of recovery. I must say it was very frustrating, given that I had so much to do, and I wasn’t physically able to ;( Anyway, it’s always wise not to push yourself when you are not well. That being said, my mind did wander to those days when I could have gotten more stuff done, but didn’t, for whatever reason… (hides). I am pretty sure you do not have that problem. Anyway, all this pondering brought to mind the following verse:
“Show me, LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.” Psalm 39:4
Its not a depressing verse as some may read it, but just a prayer for God to show us how valuable our time is, as it is limited. It’s my prayer for you too, not to take for granted the days when you have your perfect health and the perfect condition to get stuff done. Use your time wisely and productively. That includes taking rest every now and then, as well as appreciating all the people God has blessed you with. Never take time for granted, it is the one thing in life you can’t get back.
