Should Christians Celebrate halloween? NO.

Boys and girls, hear me out. I am a busy mum of 2. The last time I wrote a post was months and months ago. So, for me to wake up at 5am, and write a post about halloween (yikes!) can only be The Lord’s doing. I am a sleep deprived mum with a long list of to-do’s, some from as far as 2014, still pending. I just want to make it clear that waking up early and spending days editing and re-editing this post (so it sounds as gentle as a breeze) was not fun for me. I’d rather be writing about fashion / style or just an all round encouraging post. I couldn’t care less about halloween and if we are being honest – about what you do with your life. But there’s One Who cares for you. One who wants your heart (actually the enemy wants your heart too… but anyway). Yes, your Creator loves you enough to interrupt my schedule, my life and the aesthetic of my blog to get this message through to you. Why? Because you are being led astray and playing with fire. And this is not just fire my friend – YOU ARE PLAYING WITH BRIMSTONE.

Ok, now that the gentle intro is out of the way (lol), let’s get back to the question at hand. Should Christians celebrate halloween? NO. A RESOUNDING NO! With an exclamation mark because this is an important public service announcement. It is not my opinion, ok? Just facts. Why shouldn’t we celebrate it though? What’s the harm? We can dress our kids as angels or superman or Moses, you know – fun harmless things. Hmmm… well, that’s like asking if a satanist should celebrate Resurrection Sunday. I honestly doubt they would… for obvious reasons.

N.B. This is a specific post for a reason. Why does this post specifically address Christians? What about other people? Well, I am glad you asked, here’s a short answer in a question format – Should married people see other people (while they are still married)? NO. Same reason. That is why I am specifically addressing Christians. Well, the FULL-TIME Christians, who have devoted their lives to God. The bride of Christ. That being said, this is still worth a read even if you are not a believer (in Jesus Christ).

If you do not have time / or do not feel like reading this (which I totally understand), I urge you to bypass all this talking and watch this video on Youtube – A testimony of an ex-satanist who was snatched out of that life by the love and grace of God. This guy was trained as a satanic cult high-ranking priest, casting powerful witchcraft spells and controlling entire regions.  His name is John Ramirez – Watch his video to get the summarised version of his life story and after that, put a search for his video about why halloween is bad news for you. Just type his name and halloween. Please watch it in that order, his testimony first, then his halloween video. If you just jump to the halloween one you won’t get the full picture. In fact there’s a whole lot of ex-witch videos on YouTube trying to warn Christians and everyone else about halloween.

For all those who have time to read this (before watching the video)… LET’S GO!

My BackStory on This

Look, I am not one for hard core posts about what people should / or shouldn’t do with their lives, because God made it very clear to me decades ago that I am not the manager of the universe. I have just never been into halloween because I was brought up to avoid anything and everything witchcraft’y, and if you grew up in Africa my friend, you’d know that witchcraft is not child’s play (or adult’s play for that matter). So yeah, I was always aware that halloween was not something to take lightly. In fact, I used it as a way to weed out which schools I should enrol my kids in. That was always the first thing I would ask at DayCares / Kindergartens etc etc – “Do you guys celebrate halloween?” Lol, much to their surprise. Yes, I am blunt like that because when it comes to protecting my children, I will leave no door open to the devil. Some schools claim to be Christian and everything, but you’d be horrified at the things they allow. There was even one school / daycare that told me they didn’t celebrate halloween, but they did. Therefore, my only solution was to keep my kid at home on that day. I repeat – there’s just certain doors I don’t want opened into my kids mind. I don’t want all that demonic symbolism / imagery floating in front of my kids, and I will do all that I can to shelter them from that (while I still can). Yes, I know it sounds drastic and dramatic, but it is what it is. I am their spiritual sniper for life.

A Moment of Honesty with Yourself

The enemy is very crafty, but I am sure you know all that. He is so sneaky, sly and subtle that you won’t even realise he has (almost) done a checkmate on you. But then there’s times when he is so obvious and we willingly get into his web. Literally. I am going to ask you 2 little questions, ok? I just want you to have a moment of honesty with your heart: 1. Is there anything about halloween that says God is involved in it? All those webs, giant spiders, skeletons, coffins etc?? NO. Because halloween is the devil’s day, celebrating the spirit of death and other demons. Question 2: On a normal day, would you let your child play with toy skeletons, scary pumpkin looking things and toy coffins? NO! So why do you let your children be subjected to these things on this particular day? Again, I am sorry if I sound mean, I am just trying to get you to think for yourself and not just download information into your head.

Sweetheart, the enemy is after your children, he has always been and will always be. And the spiritual realm is as real as real can be. Just because you may have never experienced it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist, ok? This day opens up a doorway into your child’s mind. It gives them a fascination with the death spirit, it is an entry way for nightmares, etc etc. I am not going to go into all that. If you want to know more, do your own research or quicker: watch the video and hear it from an ex-witch,  ex-satanist himself.

I am writing this post ONLY because I felt convicted to do so. That’s all I am going to say about that. It’s off my hands now and I can sleep in peace, knowing I have done my part in letting you know this. What you choose to do with this information moving forward, is entirely up to you. I have done my part. I’d rather be your uncool Christian friend who talks about the weird topics nobody wants to address. Yep, I’d rather be that, than be disobedient to God.

God loves you my friend, more than you’ll ever know. He doesn’t condemn you for there’s NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I urge you to pray for a discerning spirit in the affairs of life (I do, almost every day). Because the enemy is like a lion on the prowl, looking for someone to devour.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you – James 4:7

… you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

The Fear of The Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
