I love first day of every month because it is like a new beginning. I see it as being given another chance. A chance to be a better version of me. A chance to grow. A chance to try again at the things that mean the most.

I know most people save all these goals for that infamous first day of the year. I don’t know about you, but for me new year’s resolutions never work. They are too vast and too sudden. What I prefer is to have monthly resolutions. They are smaller and less intimidating. Besides, if I fail… the promise of another month just around the corner gives me the motivation to try again. After all is said and done, all those little goals and steps amount to something bigger and more sustainable than any new years resolution I’ve ever had.

P.S. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Allow yourself to learn from your mistakes, and then try again. Remember, God’s mercies are new every day. How awesome is that!

Here’s to a new chance to try again, grow, and finish the year strong. It’s never too late.
