Yes, I’ve had one of those weekends where God did amazing things, then other things fell apart & sleep became a myth. In a nutshell, it’s been an emotional roller-coaster with a tight schedule that left me exhausted enough to want to cry (or maybe even cry a little). You know those times when you just wish you could get away from everything and everyone… but hey, life goes on, and we have to make do with our special situations.
Anyway, I thought I’d share one of my most special 2012/13 songs called Cornerstone. It has the ability to remind me of the one thing that matters the most when all becomes too much to bear, i.e That God still remains God through the highs & lows of life – He is that one Cornerstone I KNOW I can rely on 24/7 (n.b Whether or not we’d like to admit to ourselves, the truth is: human intellect & power fails at a certain point…)
“My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness, I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly trust in Jesus’ name
Christ alone, Cornerstone… Weak made strong, in the Savior’s love… Through the storm… He is Lord, Lord of All
When darkness seems to hide His face… I rest on His unchanging grace… In every high and stormy gale… MY ANCHOR HOLDS WITHIN THE VEIL…”
Something to reflect on… What’s your anchor holding onto when life throws some serious blows at you & no one / nothing has the power to help you?
Have a great week!
