Yulia Erkamova by Jamie Nelson
It’s been a long time since I have shared one of these. To say I love magazine style editorials would be an understatement. I don’t even know why I ever stopped sharing them on the blog. Anyway, we are going back to basics. The Style Gallivanter Basics. Here’s some great fashion photography of Yulia Erkamova by Jamie Nelson, courtesy of Vogue Taiwan January 2016.
What do I love about this? Hmmm, the real question should be, what’s not to love? I mean, look at that top picture, those sunglasses are everything! Sometimes I wish I lived in an era when it was normal to see women wearing gloves, colourful gloves like it ain’t no thang. It is very sexy, feminine, but still modest. It has that old world glamour about it, you know. Like street style from the 50’s or 60’s, at least that is how I would like to imagine women back then dressed. Very classy. (Yes, I am a bit tired of seeing girls, and women, prancing around in the nude. Can I get a witness!) Anyway, this editorial is full of vibrance, colour, texture, and everything that makes one feel alive. Who wouldn’t want to shimmy in that purple and gold number? Don’t get me started. As for that last picture… I am totally feeling it. Yes, because that is how I’d like to look when chilling with the squad. I already have the socks, so that’s a good start. I just need to find friends who dress like this. Applications welcome. 😉
