Still on that Back To Basics tip, today we are looking at none other but the F word i.e. FOCUS. By week 2 of the year, I am pretty sure most people have already fallen off the new year’s resolution wagon. Yes, I agree, starting something foreign to your everyday routine is hard, but the trick is to keep “starting again and again”… until it becomes a part of you. Instead of condemning yourself and giving up totally, give yourself another chance. Every failure is a chance to start again. And by starting again, you are better positioning yourself to succeed. No matter how many times you have to do it. All you need is to focus on the goal again.
So get up, re-focus those lenses of yours and get back on that wagon. We have a God who is our biggest cheerleader. A God of many chances. A God who’d love to see us learn from our failures instead of using them as excuses to stop trying. I mean, if The Creator of the universe is our biggest fan and cheerleader, who are we to be so hard on ourselves?
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
