Most people love adventure. I am one of them, but only to a certain extent. No, I am not going to jump out of a plane or go over Victoria Falls attached to a flimsy little rope. The flying fox is as adventurous as I have been in my youth (lol yes, coz I am very old now), going over very safe terrain, might I add. Anyway, if you have been following my blog, you’d know about my personal resolve for this year (from this post). i.e. to pray more than I have ever prayed. One thing I have learnt is that with prayer comes miracles, and big adventures. I have also learnt or I am slowly learning to let go and go with God’s plans 100% of the time (as opposed to 99% of the time), and embrace seasons / places I never thought I would before. And I am doing all this with an effortless elegance I never knew I possessed (yep, sometimes you gotta give yourself a pat on the back). I guess it’s all part of growing up. Or maybe I am just a late bloomer. Either way, one thing is for sure; when you are living a purpose driven life, it turns out you don’t have to go out chasing adventure. Adventure comes seeking you. Are you ready to let go and let God take you on a much bigger adventure than you ever thought?
It can be scary at times because that means I have to let go of control, and just embrace the adventure as it comes. But with God I have learnt to relax, not only because He is my happy place, but because He is my SAFE place. So for now, I am just going to lie here, look pretty and let Jesus take the wheel. More on the adventure series coming soon, in the meantime I hope you got something from this not so eloquent rambling….
“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15 How awesome is this verse!
