I’ve never been one to care much about what people thought… because I learnt from a young age that God is the most important audience I will ever have. If it’s right before Him, then everyone else will just have to get with the program. Sure, people will always have something to judge and criticize, even when you try your best to impress them. Since your efforts will be in vain, why not just do it for God first, without seeking the approval of the irrelevant? He will never judge you. In fact, He will correct you IN LOVE if you are straying from what’s best for you. The thing about God is, He always has our best interests at heart, even when we do not give Him the time of day. Yes, that is just how He loves! Unconditionally. That’s what comes to mind when I think AUDIENCE OF ONE. God, being the most important audience I will ever have.
This is the reason why my friend Dawn Faith’s debut EP, AUDIENCE OF ONE really resonates. Since I couldn’t make it to her live recording, I recently had my very own private listening session. Fancy glasses, chandeliers and the works, the music was the most outstanding 😉 Definitely an inspiring piece of work, especially given her testimony that defied the odds. Not only that, but the title of the album itself draws you in, and helps you re-focus on what is most important in life, i.e. God. And I don’t really need to tell you the benefits of listening to a great praise/worship album. Not only will it re-ignite your faith, but it will restore your joy. All of us could use that, right? So just go on, and get yours.
Dawn sees the release of Audience of One as opportunity to heal and to reassure others that, no matter how dark the night, joy comes in the morning. Cheers to that! Now available on iTunes, Google play and Spotify.
